Switching from initial load to continuous replication of Db2 for z/OS sources
Work with your DB2 database management team to print the DB2 BSDS by executing DSNJU004 utility, as in this example:
//DSNJU004 JOB (20,FB3),REGION=0M, <-- Job card goes here. // CLASS=A,MSGCLASS=H,NOTIFY=&SYSUID //* //* //DSNTJU04 EXEC PGM=DSNJU004 //STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=DSND10.SDSNLOAD <-- SDSNLOAD library of your DB2 subsystem //GROUP DD DISP=SHR,DSN=DSND10.DBDG.BSDS01 <--Boot Strap Dataset of your DB2 system //SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=* //SYSIN DD * MEMBER *
The above job should complete successfully with the return code of 0 or 4.
in the BSDS Print job, find the “CHECKPOINT QUEUE” section on the report using this command:
F “CHECKPOINT QUEUE” 28
In the Checkpoint Queue section , find the “TIME OF CHECKPOINT” for the time prior to the DB2 Initial load. In this example, the initial load start time was 11:05AM on 18 September 2025, so the record of interest would be the one at 11:03:54 on 18 September 2025:
