Using Kafka-persisted streams in Striim Cloud

When you create a Striim Cloud Enterprise service you can select whether to include a managed Kafka instance, which is required to use Kafka-persisted streams (see Persisting a stream to Kafka). If you chose not to, you can create it later by going to Striim Cloud Console's Services page and selecting More > View Details > Persistent Streams > Attach (this will increase your charges).

When you create a Striim Cloud Mission Critical service, a managed Kafka instance is created automatically.
