Scheduling service stop and restart times

You can define the timeframes when your Striim Cloud service is scheduled to automatically stop and restart. This configuration allows you to run the service on a specific schedule, for example, you may want to configure your service to run between 9am - 5pm during weekdays and be in a stopped state for the remainder of the week. The minimum time between the start and stop of a service is one hour.

Stopping or restarting a service takes a few minutes. For example, when scheduling a service to stop at 5pm, Striim initiates the stop at the specified time, which takes a few minute to complete. Similarly, when scheduling a service to restart at 7am, Striim starts creating the service at 7am and the creation takes a few minutes and is ready to use after it goes into the running state.

To configure your stop and restart schedule, follow these steps:

  1. In the Striim Cloud Console, if the service is not running, start it and wait for its status to change to Running.

  2. In the Services page, select More > View Details > Advanced configuration > Schedule your service.

  3. In the graph, select a time period, or click Edit to adjust the stop and restart days/times.

  4. Add any additional stop and restart periods as needed.

  5. Click Save.
