Upgrading Striim Cloud

On the Services tab of your Striim Cloud subscription, Upgrade available will appear next to your service to indicate that you may upgrade to the latest release.

Before upgrading:

  1. Quiesce and undeploy all running applications with persisted streams.

  2. Stop and undeploy all other running and deployed applications.

To upgrade, on the Services tab of your Striim Cloud subscription, select ... > Upgrade. The service will be unavailable until the upgrade is complete.

Note

Upgrading to Striim Cloud 5.2.4 or later will upgrade Striim's JDK to version 17. Due to this change, after upgrading, it will not be possible to downgrade to a previous version of Striim.

If you use open processors, you may need to revise and recompile them to be compatible with with JDK 17. See Updating open processors for JDK 17.

After upgrading to Striim 5.2.4, you must upgrade the environment for all Forwarding Agents to Oracle JDK 17 or Open JDK 17. For more information, see Striim Forwarding Agent system requirements.
